About Great World
Great World station takes its name from the old Great World Amusement Park that operated from 1929 to 1978. Today, Great World City mall serves as the neighbourhood hub, with a cinema, supermarket, and diverse F&B. The Kim Seng and River Valley area has a mix of older condos and newer developments. The Singapore River is walkable, and Robertson Quay's dining scene is nearby. The TEL has unlocked this area for residents who used to rely heavily on buses.
