District 24 · Singapore
Frontier town, future-forward, blank canvas
D24 is Singapore's last frontier. Lim Chu Kang is one of the few remaining rural areas — you'll still find fish farms, vegetable farms, and the occasional goat wandering near the road. The Lim Chu Kang cemetery is where many of Singapore's war dead are buried; it's a place that carries real historical weight. But the big story here is Tengah — Singapore's newest town, planned as the country's first car-free town centre, with underground roads and an emphasis on green living. It's still under construction, but when completed, Tengah will house tens of thousands of residents in a genuinely forward-thinking urban environment. The Jurong Region Line will serve Tengah, connecting it to the Jurong Lake District. For BTO-watchers, Tengah has been one of the most popular launch locations in recent years.
There are currently 2 new launch condos in District 24 (Lim Chu Kang & Tengah). Entry prices start from $2,167 psf. Available projects include Novo Place, Tengah Garden Residences.
Residents in District 24 are well-served by public transport, with 4 MRT stations nearby, including Hong Kah, Tengah, Tengah Park. The area is also accessible via Tengah Plantation stations.
For families, District 24 has 6 primary schools within 2km of the area, including Pioneer Primary School, Jurong Primary School, Princess Elizabeth Primary School. Living within 1km of a primary school gives priority during Phase 2B and 2C registration.
